Received an email this morning from my friend Austin. For some reason he can't post on here, so here it is:
It only took your boy Moneyball Jr. a year to put us at the bottom of a bad division and run a winning manager out of town. I told you before the season that Tracy was being setup (the team was gutted) to be fired. Please post this on your blog site:

In my opinion, this article is crap due to the following statements:
"During his two seasons as GM, DePodesta has guided the Dodgers to a stunning regression that rendered them irrelevant in the NL West this season -- a difficult thing to do considering their division title in '04 and the overall puny division in '05."
Would someone like to mention the massive amounts of injuries? And they make it sound like the Dodgers were dominant before this. When was the last time they won the division? Um...1995. When was the last time the Dodgers won a playoff game? 1988. So lets not think that this was a dominant team and didn't have any problems.
"During his five years as manager, Tracy's teams overachieved in at least three of them, and he steered the club to its first postseason victory in 16 years last October."
Overachieve? How do you overachieve with such a large payroll and only making the playoffs once? And that was under DePodesta?
"Boston didn't have Curt Schilling this year, either. The Red Sox still managed to win 95 games. The Yankees ran through pitchers like George Steinbrenner goes through secretaries. New York also managed to win 95 games this year"
Is this guy serious? Schilling was one guy, and the Yankees have a payroll $100 million more than the Dodgers so they could run through pitchers, but when you are playing without Drew, Bradley, Izturis, Perez, and Gagne, for extended parts of the year, I don't think you will be that successful. Let's see how the Sox would do without two out of three top RBI producers and their leadoff guy.
But whatever...I'm sure if the A's ended up only winning 70 games, people would be writing about how bad Beane is how he should be fired.
