I hate Brynes

I know it has been a couple of days since he has appeared on Baseball Tonight, but can anyone explain ESPN's reason for putting Brynes on the set? Yes he is funny and a free spirit, and tries really hard on the field, but he is a terrible player. The guy cost the A's many regular season games as well as a playoff series with his bonehead play at the plate. He is a better fit on the Jimmy Kimmel show than on Baseball Tonight. And that is saying alot since we all have to put up with Brantley and Kruk on a nightly basis. Does anyone know if he is still on?

How can you rip byrnsie? He's one of our roto heroes. The first thing he mentioned was how varitek kneed him in the head and cost you the series and no one let's him forget it. It was such a call to arms for balls out analysis. I really kind of enjoyed his takes. At one point I had the sound off, and I could tell from his wild gesticulating that he was making good points.

Vernon Wells seemed like a real quality guy, maybe not super interesting, but friendly. He's kind of from the tino school of analysis at this point. I liked when they had royce clayton on espn news with michael kim ripping people a few years back. It was like dl hughley making fun of other comics, just didn't add up.

Kruk is such an opinionated schmoe, same for steve phillips. I liked HR just because he drove derek crazy with his clog up the basepaths take on obp for big guys. Al leiter was good. It's amazing how many lunkheads they have on that show.

All baseball announcing and analysis should be left to scully, kaat, and miller.

Can't wait to see your ALCS preview, especially your take on the A's pitching tandem of Rich Hadren and Etsaban Loazia.

I will always give Loazia love for throwing about 4 more scoreless innings then had any business throwing against the sox in 04 even if he did give up papi's single.

I hesitate to make any predictions for fear of invoking derek's superstitious wrath. Luckily for the a's they have veteran influence and noted team player frank thomas instead of our overpaid merecenaries. Did anyone ever read that article about matsui having a huge porn collection. I'm always shocked that doesn't get more play. And that's my take on the alcs.

Hook, line and sinker....although Jon was not the intended target.
