Not a great day

Both the Tribe and the Browns lost.

First, the Tribe: we lose in the 9th when Grady loses a ball in the sun. Frustrating, but you can't point the finger at him. Especially when you have a 3-0 lead in the 6th and lose it.

Now back home to face Tampa for 3 and Chicago for 3.

Next, the Browns: a valiant effort on the road ends up in a 13-6 loss. It started off bad when Greg Gumbel says.."and now off to Indianapolis, where Don Criqui and Steve Tasker has the call". Ugh!

Nantz and Simms had last week's game - and I couldn't enjoy that since I was at the game.

And then Jeff Triplette was our ref. Now, I really hate to rag on the refs, but this post sums up my feelings right now...

Argh. A great effort. I am proud of this team and the direction it is going in. And if your team plays the Colts in the future, watch out. Their DL aims for the legs and expects to take the QB out.

(by the way, 9-4 on the picks today!)

Not sure how you can't point a finger at Grady? He dropped a fly ball that cost you the game???? Its pretty simple. Do you think Buckner is to blame for the Sox loss or the releivers that put the men on base before his error?

Oh and I forgot, good game against Indy. If you can play like that against your next 5 opponents, you will right in the thick of the wild card race.

Is your last comment a joke? If we play like that against our next 5 opponents, we will win 4, and are at 5-3, and yes, right in the thick of the wild card race.

I can't tell if that was sarcastic or not.

No, I was being serious. Because in years past, you would play a tough team tight, like Indy or the Eagles, and then collapse against your easier opponents. If you can keep up the intensity against bad teams, you might actually win some games.
