Hello all - back from vacation and back in Iowa City again for work. Blogging on the vacation to come, but wanted to throw this out there to see what people thought.
How many of you thought that Jordan's 2-year absence from the NBA was not voluntary? Well, what do you think about Clemens? As one poster put it....
Ok, so let me see if I have this straight: two days ago, the report is that Clemens will join the Astros, a report denied by both parties. Then yesterday, all of a sudden, it's a done deal. What changed? How about this: two days ago, three MLB teams hadn't played their 50th game yet (including the Yankees and the Red Sox), as of yesterday everyone was at 50. Hmm, I wonder what could happen in baseball that would *require* someone to miss 50 games ...

Are you suggesting that Clemens used steroids to hit all those home runs?
Something was going on with Jordan, as Stern is a demigod, but Selig continues to let Bonds and his hot-air head play, no way he suspended Clemens in any way.
