Spelling Bee vs 1st night of the NBA Finals
So Eric and I were wondering which show on ABC would grab more viewers, the Spelling Bee held last week or the opening night of the NBA finals. Both on the same channel and both on the same day of the week. The Spelling Bee grabbed 8.6 million viewers, which was enough to grab 20th place last week. I do not have the NBA ratings yet, but just to compare quickly, the highest NBA playoff rating was the Heat vs. Pistons last Wednesday on ESPN that pulled in 6.8 million viewers. Will update on Monday with the official result.

We may have a winner! This is overnight ratings, and unofficial, but still....
it doesn't look good for Team Stern/Derek.

Well... maybe not. The article below gives the rating in "rating points", while Derek gave the data in viewers.
Now I've got to find the conversion between the two....
