Golf Update

The US Publinx Qualifer was Monday, and I have to say it was a pretty boring 36 holes. Not much of note occurred during the day. I had:
- one double bogey
- one OB (not the double hole, mind you...)
- one left-handed shot
- one WD in my group
- 3 3-putts (including the first hole... nice way to start off a round)
and, unfortunately:
- 1 birdie.
My drive and I were NOT getting along at all that day. I was constantly struggling to keep the ball in play.

Shot 80 the first 18 in a 10-par, 8-bogey round. The 2nd 18 was better, as I had 2 3 jacks and a double, and still shot 78. 7 greens on the final nine. My nines were 40-40 40-38. I felt like Jose Canseco there for a moment.

The F&J crowd didn't do so well: Craig did the best with 77-75 in Evansville; Jeff Maier had a 79-86; Don struggled to an 85-82; and Kermit shot an 84 in his first round but WD.

Winning wagers (referring to the oft-talked about, but few commented, post with the lines on the tournament:

Ok, with my All-In bet barely surviving the last tournament (and yes I was thinking about it walking up the fairway on the last hole) I lay down the following wagers (especially since I just doubled my net worth)...

213 - I hope I loose this one, but recent data would suggest its a lock.

216 - but I'll bounce back from it

221

224 - the good Dr is off his game (as am I)

226 - one of us is making it

229 - These are tough courses, pin locations will ultimately determine this one

238 - I'm not scared of these holes (thats what I keep telling myself)

So many layups I don't even know where to begin.

208- The house did not take enough advantage on the prop. Thank you.

222- Don't know who this Good Dr. is, but Eric will grind him out.

220- This is like taking the home dog on Monday night. We all know that Don can't perform as the favorite.

224- So I guess this is just based on the prior two bets.

226- I can't start betting against the boys now.

2- Wow, the House of Hershey is like Imperial Palace. I love it.

5- I think I'm reading this wrong. Very confusing, but I'm putting money on it anyway.

Last minute wagers on Don's AP-calculus-like offerings:

1. Tribe is a weak defensive team.

4. GIR, baby!

5. Gotta vote with us.
