After reviewing roughly 1,000 resumes over the last several months, I'm amazed at what people write about themselves. Last week at a college job fair, a young girl actually had a glam shot of herself attached to the resume. Today I got one in that had employment history listed as Aerospace and Land Development, with no explanation behind either of those two. How can you not expand on having a job in Aerospace and Land Development? And why are you applying for a claims job?
And aren't we at that point now where we don't have to say that you are proficient in the internet and email????? And what is a 10 key calculator? I hope to God its not just a regular calculator. Yup, this schmuck actually put that down on his resume.
And no, I did not hire any of these people.

I was looking at a resume for a position at my employer and in the work history this guy had put down "Sandwich Artist" at Subway. Why would you put Subway on your resume in the first place and what would make you think Sandwich Artist would make it sound better?
Easy - he wanted to show off that he is a well rounded individual! He's trying to apply for a computer job (right?) and wants to show that he has a softer, liberal arts side..... voila! The "Sandwich artist" title!
Boy, that is pathetic.
