I don't want to hear it

Life is not fair. period.

I know Derek will post some smart ass comment - I'll try to ignore it.

What a deal. Can't we get any breaks?

This is becoming comical. Seriously. No smart comments from me.....now.

This post sums it up:

In related news, Ben Rothlesberger was hit this morning by a west-bound freight train. According to witnesses, he was dragged over a half mile by the locomotive before being released only to be run over by twelve freight cars. He was treated at the scene and will not miss any significant reps at today's practice.

Fast Willie Parker rode a nuclear device to detonation over the Nevada desert, as a homage to Slim Pickens in Doctor Strangelove. Steeler trainers will monitor him in practice to make sure he has plenty of fluids.

Hines Ward had his head severed by a helicopter blade around noon. He's day to day.

And:

So, let me get this straight: Toothlesburger can imitate KW2, faceplants into a car, almost killing himself, yet he is good to go.
Carson Palmer will be ready possibly by the begining of the year.
Bentley gets stepped on in a pile, NO PADS mind you, and he is out for the year. F this.

Now, Derek may say something like "how do you know he's done for the year?"

Ah, youthful innocence. Also a clear sign that he's never been a Cleveland fan.

See folks, I can't win. I try to be nice and say that he might not be out for the entire year and Eric slams me. Go ahead Eric, continue to poke the bear.

Derek, that's not a slam - it's just that you're so..... optimistic? idealistic?

I've been through this before.

"Oh, Jamir Miller has just a sprained knee" - bam! Never played football again.

"It's just a minor injury to Couch's elbow" - well, who knows about this one...

"Baxter looks ok" - bam, gone for the rest of 2005

"It's good that Braylon can leave the field under his own power" - bam, gone for the rest of 2005 and the first 8 weeks of 2006

"It's just a broken leg, Kellen will be back by week 10" - bam, out for 2004

"Maybe it's just a small motorcycle accident " - bam, out for all of 2005.

It never is the best-case scenario for us. Period.

And here is proof:

Derek, I appreciate the effort in your comments that Bentley may not be done for the year, but please pardon my cynicism. I've seen it happen year after year after year....

Seriously now. Would it really be football season if something like this didn't happen?

Look on the bright side. We got this out of the way EARLY. The rest of the season should be smooooooth sailing.

...and 1 blind side sack of little ben and he'll be done. your head just can't take that kind of sloshin' around.
